LIGHTNING
PROTECTION

Lightning protective measures, in accordance with the latest British standard BSEN 62305 series, can be reduced by protective measures. We recommend lightning protection systems to be inspected every 11 months and all equipment will be certified accordingly, and any reports will be issued at no extra cost.

We inspect and re-certify every single accessible earthing position on-site, unlike many companies who test only 1 in 3 or 4 positions and provide an overall reading.

During every inspection we always check the following:

  • Resistance to earth readings for each earth termination

  • Equi-potential bonds

  • Corrosion of earth electrodes

  • Conditions of connections

  • Deterioration and corrosion of air-termination elements, conductors, and connections

  • Conductor fixings

LED
LIGHTING

A key part of ATI’s ethos is our responsibility to the environment, always seeking sustainable solutions which are both eco-friendly and help reduce the UK’s carbon footprint which is why we provide economically efficient services.

Upgrading to LED lighting in key areas of a building, or throughout, saves our customers - on average - 50% of their annual energy bills.

Compared to standard, or traditional, lighting, LED lighting gives the right message to the building’s occupant, your employees or visitors: that you care.

LED lights are highly energy-efficient, consuming up to 80% less power than traditional incandescent and fluorescent lights. They have an extended lifespan, which means fewer replacements and reduced maintenance costs. With LED lighting, your business can enjoy a brighter, cleaner, and more eco-friendly environment.

EV
CHARGERS

As the demand for electric vehicles (EVs) grows, providing efficient and accessible EV charging solutions is essential for businesses looking to support a sustainable future.

Our EV charging service begins with a thorough on-site survey to evaluate infrastructure, parking layout, and energy requirements. By assessing your site, we can develop a solution that maximises charging efficiency and minimises installation costs.

Our goal is to ensure that your investment meets current needs and is scalable for future growth, taking into account the latest advances in EV charging technology and sustainability. We’ll advise on various charging levels, from Level 2 stations suitable for overnight and workplace charging to fast chargers for high-turnover sites.

We manage the entire installation process, from electrical connections and mounting to setup and testing, ensuring your EV chargers are ready for immediate use. Our attention to detail and commitment to quality means that your EV charging stations are installed to perform at their best.

We offer ongoing maintenance services and address any technical issues. By choosing to install EV chargers, your business not only supports the growing shift towards clean energy but also attracts environmentally conscious customers and employees.

EICR

An electrical installation condition report (EICR) identifies any damage, deterioration, defects and/or conditions which may give rise to danger along with observations for which improvement is recommended.

Minimise the risks with electrical safety testing, essential to help prevent electrical fires and ensure complete electrical safety and compliance.

Committing to regular electrical testing and inspections not only keeps buildings safe, but it is a legal requirement every 5 years.

SURGE
PROTECTION

Surge protection is the use of devices called surge protectors or transient voltage surge suppressors (TVSS) to safeguard electrical devices from voltage spikes. These spikes, which can be caused by lightning strikes or other factors, can damage electronic equipment. Surge protectors act as insurance policies, protecting devices with standard AC plugs from power surges, voltage spikes, and line noise.

Inspection and testing of surge protection systems is essential to ensure that they remain in a working and effective condition; in accordance with relevant standards and manufacturer’s guidance.

Both BS EN 62305, for protection against lightning, and BS 7671, the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations, detail when, where and why surge protection devices are required.

Complete and in-depth inspections should occur on all systems every 3-5 years. It is recommended that critical systems have an in-depth inspection every 1-3 years (depending on occupancy and environment where the protected structure is located).
